We visited The Gambia in March 2011 for a holiday and our experiences there inspired us to begin this project to help the Gambian people to help themselves. They are a people with huge beauty, inteligence and humanity, sharing and living in peace together across tribal and religious differences. It is humbling to witness the dignity and integrity they posses despite the hardships they face caused by their lack of resources. Resources like mosquito nets, which help prevent recurrant illness and deaths, education, shoes and basic medicines. We created Love The Gambia to raise money and awareness to help individuals and communities with the initial problems we became aware of while there and we hope that, with the generosity of people like you, we can make a difference to an ever increasing amount of people as the project evolves.
